I have to admit that I’m addicted to all things “-hacks”. In particular, I love the genre “Life Hacks”. There are several websites devoted to tips and tricks that can be implemented in your life to make things easier and simpler. Today while reading my RSS Feeds, I found one of the most interesting “hacks” of all…

If you shop at all, I’m sure you have an abundance of discount cards in your wallet or tags hanging from your keys that you use at the local grocery store, pet store, etc to get in-store discounts. Wouldn’t it be nice to consolidate all of those discount cards?

From diymods.com:

“So I came up with this idea after about the 47th grocery store discount card I hard to sign up with. I was tired of my pocket looking like I was storing supplies for winter (you know, like chipmunks with their cheeks). It’s a card for your wallet that contains the barcodes for all those discount stores. I have the shoe store, pet store, and about 5 grocery stores on mine. I just whip out the card, tell them which barcode to scan, get a weird look and a question, and then I’m on my way.”

Check out all of the instructions on how to do this over at diymods.com

via Lifehacker

Surfing through my feeds today, the folks at Coudal pointed to one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long long time.

“On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive him at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur.

No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.

The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.

Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground until a DVD release a few years ago.

Now, thanks to the miracle of the Internets, you can watch it in your browser.”

This film is absoutely amazing.

Hello,
We have started a tally for all the requests of the Zissou to hand off to our Originals footwear group….wish list or petition, I’m not quite sure! A lot of requests have come in already, hopefully we’ll make a big splash.
