My latest fascination: The Ukulele
Being the person who always has to be ahead of the curve when it comes to trends and fads, I have officially moved into the newest chapter of my musical life: my obsession with the Ukulele. :)
Now, I have never been to Hawaii but have to admit that there is something soothing in the tropical sound that comes from 4 strings. After tons of research and hearing about others getting bit by the bug, I decided to go with a based upon it’s praise, durability and price.
Soon after pulling the trigger and ordering one, I was searching around and discovered . He happens to be playing the same uke that I ordered and without a doubt has confirmed that I made a good choice.
Tell me that this guy isn’t amazing. I think I need a hat like that to complete my new obsession… :)

That’s “FranSpain” on the ukulele boards and yes, he’s amazing and yes, you need a hat.

Congratulations on your new Flea and your new obsession. You definitely made the right choice. And Fran certainly kicks ass.
You do need a hat. Hat+ukulele is something of a necessity.

I have the same obsession. I’m from Sevilla (Spain) and never have visited Hawaii.

See there, all you have to do is say, “I like the ukulele” and all the uke freaks come looking for you. ;)
