I actually did something nice today

Ever since I won an Xbox 360 from work earlier this year, my original Xbox has been sitting on the floor of my office.

Every once and a while I would trip over it and think to myself that I should really do something with it. After several months, I started thinking that I should sell it on eBay but was it really worth making a couple dollars? Maybe I could turn it into a PVR or something like that but have zero free-time. After giving it some thought, I came up with an idea and actually followed through with it…

I did some investigating, sent out a couple of emails and this morning dropped off my old Xbox and games at the Pediatric Unit of Edward Hospital. The hospital was very appreciative and it felt pretty good to know that some kids will get enjoyment out of something that was literally collecting dust on the floor of my office.

If you have an old video game system that is not being used, I can’t think of a better thing to do with it.

The thought that my old Xbox may make a hospital stay a little easier for some kid is worth a lot more than the $100 I could have sold it for on eBay.
