Looking for a place to open a coffee shop in Chicago?

I’ve scouted the perfect location.

If you are someone looking to open a coffee shop or expand upon your small/awesome existing chain (yes I’m talking to you, Intelligentsia), I cannot think of a better place than in the Civic Opera House or somewhere between Washington and Madison on the east-side of Wacker. I know several people that could easily keep you in business. Until that point, we may have to consider installing a zip line over the Chicago River that goes right into Northwestern Station.

    My business partner is friends with the owner of Intelligentsia. They went to school together. Not a bad write up on the company’s buying practices in the Chicago Tribune Sunday magazine a month ago or so. What’s the monthly rent on that place anyways. Maybe form a group to get something in there.
