The Replacements have reunited (kinda)

Last week, Pitchfork reported that The Replacements have recently gotten together to record a couple of songs for an upcoming compilation entitled, Don’t You Know Who I Think I Was?: The Best of the Replacements.

Are they “really” going to get back together and tour? Probably not. One can hope, though. There are always rumors circling around of a reunion, but I’m not holding my breath (although I would be in Minneapolis as fast as I could).

While we’re on the topic of the Mats (as we call them in the business), here’s The Complete Idiot’s Guide To The Replacements. A great resource to those unfamiliar (or thinking that they did those songs in the movie, Singles).
