Using del.icio.us Tags As Podcast Show Notes

Friday, September 30th, 2005

As we all know, I’m a fan of podcasts. I wish I was more of a fan of doing my own podcast (or I should say, “had more time”?)… some day soon, i promise!

One of the shows that I enjoy listening to regularly is the Drunk and Retired Podcast. While the show’s [...]

What is happening to me?

Tuesday, September 27th, 2005

Between attending a Microsoft conference and walking away incredibly impressed with the new technologies that I got to play with and lately having a major urge to listen to The B-52’s, something weird is going on here… :)

Do Yourself a Favor and Go See Sufjan

Sunday, September 18th, 2005

Liz and I had the pleasure of seeing Sufjan Stevens last night at The Metro in Chicago. Easily one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long long time.

I can’t explain much more other than it was fantastic: the band in full Illinois cheerleader garb, cheers between songs, a very [...]

Bill Gates and Napoleon Dynamite

Thursday, September 15th, 2005

I mentioned the other day that Bill Gates showed a video during his Keynote at the Microsoft PDC conference that featured him hiring Napoleon Dynamite to work at Microsoft.

LongHornBlogs has a shaky video of it. I wish Microsoft would officially release it. There’s some pretty funny parts in it.

I did see one guy on an iBook which I thought was cool. He’s brave. I haven’t broken out my Powerbook yet [...]

PDC Catch Up

Wednesday, September 14th, 2005

Well, I’ve been at the Microsoft PDC 2005 for a couple of days and haven’t had much time to talk about what I’ve seen/done so while the wifi is up and available here’s a couple points of interest that I’ve seen/discovered around PDC and Los Angeles:

Seeing Bill Gates do the keynote was kind of cool. [...]

Song of the Day

Friday, September 9th, 2005

It seemed like I could listen to “Friends Forever” by the Old 97’s a zillion times today and not get sick of it. Must be because everyone’s back to school…

I was a debater Was not a stoner nor an inline skater Was not a player nor a player hater I was just a bookworm on a respirator Who’s [...]

Wednesday, September 7th, 2005

I’m heading for the Microsoft PDC Conference next week with some folks from work.

Anyone that is going to be there and wants to meet up, shoot me a message.

Don’t Get Me Started

Friday, September 2nd, 2005

Jenn pointed out a great transcript from an interview with the mayor of New Orleans…

NAGIN: Well, did the tsunami victims request? Did it go through a formal process to request?

You know, did the Iraqi people request that we go in there? Did they ask us to go in there? What is more important?

And I’ll tell [...]
