The Definition of Addiction

Nothing like a crazed business-woman already wielding a Venti-sized* coffee standing at a crosswalk asking anyone/everyone waiting for the light to change “where the closest Starbucks is”.

She wasn’t just asking the question. It seemed out of desperation.

Luckily for her, I was able to direct her the 30 feet she had to go to find her destination. If she was standing on the other side of the street, I could have pointed her to the one directly across the street from the other.

Sometimes I wonder how that many Starbucks (especially ones within viewing distance of each other) can stay in business? A person is quickly reassured when you see someone like I did this morning.

    • This is the jumbo coffee that they have there. Yes, I know the proper names of the Starbucks sizes. Nothing to be proud of, just a confession. I’m sure I have paid part of their utility bills in the past. :)

I recently had a woman yell out of a slow moving car looking for the closests Starbucks. Pretty crazy.
