Playing with “tags”
Tom started doing something very interesting this past weekend that he learned from Sean Bonner.
If you have a weblog (or contribute to several weblogs), you’ve probably thought to yourself:
“What if there was one site that aggregated all of my postings that I make across various weblogs?”
Sean discovered that you could create your own “MeBlog” by using the tags that Technorati has recently introduced.
These tags are used much in the same way sites such as Flickr, 43 Things and many others are using. With this said, if you start creating postings with your own “tag” (either by categorizing it in your weblog entry or placing a link such as <a href=”http://technorati.com/tag/marusin” rel=”tag”>marusin</a> in each posting), you’ll quickly start building one centralized place where all of your data is pulled.
Technorati has taken it the extra step to also include items that are tagged from Flickr as well. Very cool and very good idea.
