Looking for a hack for Sage/Firefox?

Thursday, January 27th, 2005

This is for the propeller-heads only…

Anyone know of a hack/trick that will force Sage (an extension for Firefox that integrates an RSS Reader into the browser) to always open items (either direct links to an article or all of the articles for a specified feed) in one specific tab?

I know you can do [...]

That “communal” bathroom key

Thursday, January 27th, 2005

Things that weird me out about having to use a key to unlock the bathroom door at an office:

Where are most people keeping that key as they are “going”? Is the receptionist keeping tabs as to how often I’m going? Better yet, is she keeping track of how long I’ve been gone? :)

Animal Activists, Please Skip This Posting…

We have a bird who has decided to build a nest and lay it’s eggs inside the exhaust duct from our oven’s vent hood. I did not invite them there and am willing to do anything to get them out.

The duct on the side of our house is too tall to reach [...]

Playing with “tags”

Tom started doing something very interesting this past weekend that he learned from Sean Bonner.

If you have a weblog (or contribute to several weblogs), you’ve probably thought to yourself:

“What if there was one site that aggregated all of my postings that I make across various weblogs?”

Sean discovered that you could create your own “MeBlog” [...]

Biggest “Upset” This Weekend

Sunday, January 16th, 2005

There’s no way that Bobby Flay should have beat Rick Bayless on tonight’s Iron Chef America…

Flay getting presentation points for the overuse of his squirt bottle? Come on!

That is all. :)

Just another random Wednesday

Wednesday, January 12th, 2005

Things that I did and/or found interesting today: - Read an interesting article from today’s Wall Street Journal regarding the dwindling supply of analog tape (Jeff Tweedy of Wilco is mentioned in the article/Check out the sweet “WSJ caricature” of him) - Watched yesterday’s MacWorld Keynote - Was amazed that it was 63 degrees in Chicago on January [...]

The iPod Shuffle will now be referred to as the “iPodette”

Tuesday, January 11th, 2005

My dad’s response to the MacWorld announcements today:

dad

He might be right about “having way too much music”, but come on… It’s cool! :)

Good Day To Be A Mac Nerd

Tuesday, January 11th, 2005

Tons of cool stuff announced today at MacWorld San Francisco, but the highlights are easily the Mac mini and the iPod Shuffle.

First off, the Mac mini is just sweet. I talked about it yesterday and it’s as cool as I imagine/speculated it to be. It ships in a box smaller than what an [...]

Apple’s “Sweet Spot”

Monday, January 10th, 2005

Everyone has been talking/speculating about the rumored “display-less iMac” that is to be targeted towards all those Windows-using iPod owners. I think it could be something really cool and have the same positive effect that the iPod has had on Apple as a company.

Robert Cringely thinks so as well in his predictions for 2005:

Apple [...]
