DirecTV Profiling

So I had to bite on the 3 Room plus free installation DirecTV deal that has been advertised a lot lately. I was dreading that the installation would live up to the term “Free”, but was quite pleasantly surprised when my installer fished a cable down an interior wall for me for free (from the attic) and did a nice/thorough job.

What I found interesting was when the installer was outside wiring things up, I happened to glance at the work order for my install that he left on my kitchen table. Along with my name and what exactly he was installing was a field labeled “House Value” and what was the estimated current value of my house!

Now I know that this is public knowledge and I don’t feel violated or taken advantage of. I just find it interesting that this is put on the work order. I’m guessing it probably clues the installer into certain things to expect: size of house, type of person they’ll be dealing with (maybe their attitude?), etc.

Does anyone have any other ideas of why this might be indicated on the Work Order? They obviously do some research before they come out to get this number so it has to have some meaning that I might be overlooking. I’m just interested…

Say there - regarding the photoblog of the Marina Towers - the time stamp says like 6AM. I was like “whoa” - dude that, is like, way too fucking early in the morning to be out. LEW-ZA. I know if I was on the street at that time, it is only because I just done banging some nice piece of ass that lived in one of the towers, and I was just simply on my way to catch a cab home - if you know what I am sayin’ bra.

Wow. I don’t remember that on the form I saw when they put my dish in this summer. Bizarre!
