Take a look at this cool survey of what people call various things (ie: pop or soda) or how the pronounce various things throughout the US. You can break down answers on a state by state level or see all the answers from all states laid over each other…

It’s interesting to see these results and realize how terminology/pronunciations can change just across a state line.
