Pour Out A Little “OE” For the VW Beetle
The last “original” Volkswagen Beetle has rolled off the assembly line in Mexico… It’s kind of sad when you think about it. This car had a look that is completely timeless. The “original” Beetle had personality and made an owner love their car. Almost an inanimate attraction…
I’m proud to say my very first car was a 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle (powder blue with one orange-painted door)… I bought it for $250 back in 1990 when I started driving. It’s kind of cool for the fact that that car was built in the same month/year I was born… I wish I still had it. Now I’m feeling the need to find some pictures of it.

My first car was a green 1970 Beetle that I had for a few years in the early 1980’s. I really enjoyed the character and odd quirks of the car. Unfortunately I have lost all pictures in a basement flood a number of years ago.
