Well, it’s New Years Eve…
and it’s time to think about the year that was and the year that is to be…
Alot of cool things happened this year… - My wife and I bought our first house - Travelled quite a bit going to Boston several times, San Francisco, France and Las Vegas - Really discovered my love for cooking and wine - Got a new car
A couple sucky things happened this year… - Saw all of my friends at work “forced” into looking for new jobs - Hoping everything works out with my wife’s job - Started grinding my teeth at night and chipped a tooth due to stress at work/commuting/etc. (yup, I have to wear a night guard!)
Things that I hope to change in 2003… - Don’t let work rule my thoughts all the time. Not be thinking about having to go back Monday morning on my commute home on Friday night… - Do what I love and love what I do - Take more chances and go with my gut-feelings (they’ve never let me down yet) - Use my gym membership more often (and not for just hot-tubbing like I did today!) :) - Learn to live in the moment and not in the future/past - Master the banjo - Continue travelling a lot and experiencing new things - Listen to much more alt-country/rockabilly music - Buy a turntable and start building on my album collection - Wear my Pumas more often :) - Earn a spot within the tech/blogging/Chicago communities as a leader/visionary (almost there!) :) - Speak at more conferences/user-groups
Well that’s about all I can think of right now, but I’m sure this list will change, have things added to or things removed… Here’s hoping that 2003 is a safe and happy year for everyone…
