Universal to release copy-protected CD
Universal to release copy-protected CD in U.S. (12/16/2001) While my temptation to pick up the “Fast And The Furious” soundtrack is quite strong (whatever), this is something that can’t be made a “standard”… These copy-protected cds cannot play in Macs, Linux PCs, Game Consoles (such as Playstation) or DVD players (and “some” regular cd players)…
Clearly the cds that are being sold are not “Red Book Compliant” and at the same time are being sold as “regular” cds… I smell class-action lawsuit… :)
